Join us for presenter Jason Gonzales of Oregon Wild from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm at the Vernonia Grange on Thursday, March 28th. Our regular business meeting will take place one hour prior, from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm and refreshments will be served for all who attend.

Jason’s talk will focus on Oregon’s Forest Practices Act, the weakest state level logging rules in the region, how stronger forest laws are good for communities, drinking water, and carbon sequestration, and what Oregon Wild and our partners are doing to strengthen those laws.

Jason Gonzales is Oregon Wild’s Forest and Watershed Campaign Organizer, and work with coastal and coast range communities who are organizing to protect their local forests and watersheds from the impacts of industrial clearcutting and aerial spray. When he’s not in the field supporting local communities, he spends his time at home with his family in the heart of the Oregon Coast Range, where they live work & play in a mixed use working forest.

This event is free and open to the public.
